1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of MentionNorth (formerly AEO Agent; the “Service”), operated by Ionuț-Robert Sandu, Persoană Fizică Autorizată (PFA), CUI 51596898, B-dul Bucureștii Noi 136, parter, ap. 5, Sector 1, Bucharest, Romania (“we”, “us”). By running a free audit or subscribing you accept these Terms. The Service is offered to businesses only; by subscribing you confirm you are acting on behalf of a business and are authorized to bind it.
2. The Service
MentionNorth analyzes the public web pages of a website you specify and queries AI assistants and language models (through their providers’ APIs) about the brand behind it. It produces scores, the assistants’ answers and cited sources, and recommendations, available in a private dashboard. The assistants, prompts and scoring are described on our Methodology page and may be improved over time.
AI-generated content can be incomplete or wrong. Reports are informational and are not a guarantee that any AI system will mention, recommend or describe your business in a particular way.
3. Accounts and dashboard access
You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address, or with Google or LinkedIn where offered. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure. Each monitored website also has a team share link that opens its dashboard without signing in; share it only with colleagues. If you believe it has been exposed, contact us and we will issue a new one.
4. Subscription and billing
- Plans cost $149 / €129 (Starter), $449 / €389 (Growth), $2,900 / €2,490 (Managed) per month, charged in US dollars or, for customers in the EU, EEA and Switzerland, in euro, billed in advance through Stripe and renewing automatically every month until cancelled. The limits of each plan are shown on the Pricing page.
- You can upgrade or downgrade in the billing portal; Stripe prorates the difference.
- Managed plan services (strategy calls and written content) are delivered by email and video call within the month they are paid for; unused services do not roll over.
- You authorize us, via Stripe, to charge your payment method for each renewal.
- We are not registered for VAT in Romania (small-business exemption), so no Romanian VAT is added to the price. EU business customers may enter their VAT ID at checkout; where the reverse-charge mechanism applies, you account for any VAT in your own country.
- We may change the price with at least 30 days’ notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month; you keep access until then. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, including the 30-day money-back guarantee on your first payment.
6. Acceptable use
- Only submit websites and competitor names whose public content may lawfully be analyzed.
- Do not abuse the free audit (for example automated or bulk requests), attempt to circumvent rate limits, or interfere with the Service.
- Do not resell the Service or reports as a standalone product without our written consent.
7. Your data
You own the information you provide and the reports generated for you. You grant us a limited licence to process it to provide the Service. We may use aggregated, anonymized statistics (for example average scores by category) that do not identify you. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, its software, design and methodology remain ours. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you other than the right to use the Service and your reports for your business.
9. Third-party services
Payments are processed by Stripe and the Service runs on Cloudflare, including Cloudflare Workers AI and Cloudflare AI Gateway, through which we query OpenAI, Anthropic and Google models. Their availability and terms may affect the Service. Model names are trademarks of their respective owners; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any AI lab.
10. Disclaimer
Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee any business outcome.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost business. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or gross negligence.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, abuse or breach of these Terms. If we discontinue the Service, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and refund any prepaid, unused period.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Romania, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you have under the law of your country.
